Ask your preferred AI agent to turn your notes and source material into an
Unpaged document. It can create an overview and link shapes to canvases with
more detail, so readers can explore each topic.
Review and edit the result in Unpaged. Choose Present to present it live,
or share the document for readers to navigate on their own.
Connect a compatible AI assistant to your Unpaged account using the
Model Context Protocol. Your assistant can create and edit documents,
canvases, shapes, text, and connectors.
Visual plan plugins for Claude Code and Codex
Turn a plan into connected phases linked to canvases with task checklists.
Once comment listening is active, mention @agent on the
canvas to send feedback to the task reviewing it. Comments are checked every
30 seconds, or every 60 seconds after an idle hour. Your computer and assistant
must be running; approvals and the assistant's work can take additional time.
Claude Code
Inside Claude Code, run /plugin marketplace add unpaged/plugins,
then /plugin install unpaged@unpaged. Use /mcp to
sign in and /unpaged:visual-plan to create a plan. Automatic
comment listening requires Node.js 22 or newer and a Claude Code build
with the Monitor tool.
Codex
The Codex plugin is a preview for macOS and Linux. Install Node.js 24 or
newer and the current Codex CLI, then run these terminal commands in order:
codex plugin marketplace add unpaged/plugins
codex plugin add unpaged-codex@unpaged
codex mcp login unpaged
Sign in with your Unpaged account. Run codex, open
/hooks, and review and trust the Unpaged SessionStart hook.
Start a new Codex task and select the Unpaged Codex: Visual Plan skill.
Confirm comment listening is active before posting an @agent
comment. Full restart recovery remains under validation for this preview.
Starter Prompts
Once connected, give your assistant the source material and adapt one of
these prompts. Each creates a document with an overview linked to canvases
with more detail, ready for you to review, present, or share.
- Knowledge & learning guide — using the learning material I provide,
create a guide in Unpaged. Put the key topics on an overview canvas, then
link each topic's shape to a canvas with explanations, examples, and source
references. Use only the supplied facts and mark gaps as open questions.
- Project brief — using the project notes I provide, create a brief in
Unpaged that I can present to the team. Summarize the goals and scope on an
overview canvas, then link its shapes to canvases with the supporting plans
and decisions. Keep unresolved questions visible and do not invent dates,
owners, or commitments.
- Process guide — using the process description I provide, create a guide
in Unpaged. Show the main steps and decisions on an overview canvas, then
link each step's shape to a canvas with its instructions and supporting
notes. Include only documented responsibilities and call out missing information.
- System architecture — using the system description I provide, map our
architecture in Unpaged. Create an overview with a labeled shape for each
service, then link each shape to a canvas with its components, data flows,
and known failure modes. Distinguish documented facts from open questions;
do not invent missing details.
MCP integration is included on Free and Premium. Server rate limits and your
plan's document, canvas, and collaborator limits still apply. The server URL is
https://mcp.unpaged.io/mcp. Enable JavaScript on this page for
client-specific setup; authorization happens through your MCP client.
